Fairy Tales From the Glen

A$390.00
sold out

DESCRIPTION

One of my favourite things to paint are trees in a forest setting. In this story telling piece, the colourful shadows and fractured light, create the ambience of an enchanted forest glen. A fairy tale setting, in which the male figure is resting under a tree, entangled by the roots and greenery. The female form is Diana, the Goddess of nature.

I have used layers of colourful glazes, to achieve the lovely tertiary colours and have painted the piece in an impressionistic style.

MEDIUM

Acrylic on Fredrix archival canvas with hardboard core, unframed.

SIZE

35.5cm (W) x 28.3cm (H) x 0.3cm (D)
