I was inspired to paint this cute little bug, when he flew onto my balcony, while I was away on holiday. I was lucky enough to photograph him as he was quite content to hang out with me for a while. Close up, he had such beautiful golden tones and intricate tortoise-like patterns on his transparent shell.
