I love doing this technique where the paint is wiped off the canvas using fingers and a cloth. It gives the ciarroscuro effect of the old masters. For me, the subject of a shaggy highland bull was an irresistible muse for this method. The focus is on his eye, which is beautifully framed by the bulls wiry and unruly hair. Artists quality paint, mediums and varnish used. Sides of canvas are painted, sealed with 3 coats varnish and ready to hang.
