A Day At The Spa

A$650.00

DESCRIPTION

A day at the spa is now regarded as a luxury or a unique treat, possibly given as a gift, and is frequently in a spotless, frequently clinical setting. It made me think of the Roman baths and their enigmatic and intriguing ancient architecture. One wonders what these walls have seen, regardless of their current state, given that they were once a vibrant and essential part of daily life. The Romans constructed the Aquae Sulis, or Bath as it is known today, in England as a religious spa. It was a combined homage to their own goddess Minerva and the Celtic goddess Sulis. To capture the essence, I have used creativity and artistic license.

MEDIUM

Acrylic paint, inks and charcoal on artist quality paper, framed.

SIZE

38cm (W) x 38cm (H) x 2.5cm (D)
