Grounded

DESCRIPTION

I love to paint trees, especially one's with twisted and exposed roots. In this painting, I made the tree roots the focus, perhaps a "worms eye view." This painting is one of a series, where I taped off strips of the paper and painted in my composition. Once the tape is removed, it left defined white stripes, in which I drew in the continuation, using ink and washes.
