Neon Blooms

DESCRIPTION

This semi abstracted painting, of a fantasy garden, has both the soft flowing lines of the flowers and also straight structure lines. It was created as a result of my insomnia. I spend many nights creating, mostly drawing, in mixed media. My imagination runs wild during these quiet hours and I have noticed a kind of freedom that comes from working in the silence of the night. I do not use a reference, I just allow the work to evolve. The colours are vibrant, some are neon, which are a wonderful contrast to the black background. This piece has been framed in a black frame with a complimentary blue surround mat. The work has been signed both front and back.
