Laying Agonies to Rest

A$1,750.00

DESCRIPTION

This painting may fall under the heading of “Surreal,” but it does have a personal story behind it. It expresses some very difficult times in my life, where personal tragedies seemed so unbearable and almost impossible to cope with. This is expressed by the broken torso, set in the sand on a rocky landscape. However, the canopy of the bright blue sky above is a reminder that where there is life, there’s always another day, and that day may allow us to put past agonies to rest.

MEDIUM

Acrylic on strtched canvas, sides painted, sealed and ready to hang.

SIZE

101.5cm (W) x 76cm (H) x 3.5cm (D)
