Life On The Rocks 2
DESCRIPTION
Inspired by a documentary series I've been watching, on lighthouses. I am in absolute awe of these incredible structures, how they were built and the part they have played in maritime history, worldwide. I was so fascinated with the keepers and the fact that they were able to commit to their life's work, in such isolated and sometimes very solitary conditions. This painting is a contemporary version of my previous painting 'Life on the rocks,' which is a large piece, in oils.
