Ancestral Offerings

A$490.00

DESCRIPTION

This painting was inspired by our travels through Asia, where we often stumbled across small marketplaces, where the locals traders would go about their day. I found these busy little hubs overwhelmed my senses, with their wonderful colours‚ fragrances and sounds. My favourite thing to do each afternoon, was to watch the local women, beautifully dressed in their traditional clothing, busying themselves with their daily rituals of making offerings of fruits and flowers to their ancestors.

MEDIUM

Acrylic and gold leaf on stretched canvas, sides painted and ready to hang.

SIZE

40.5cm (W) x 50.5cm (H) 3.5 (D)
