This joyful, leafy green, botanical painting captures dragonflies darting about in a leafy garden. The dark textured background, enhanced by the busy fireflies, dotted through the painting, is a perfect backdrop for the dragonflies. I have applied many layers of coloured glazes over the intricately patterned wings, which make them appear both delicate and transparent.
