Egg Shell Blue

A$1,250.00

DESCRIPTION

For me, this painting was a bit of a labour of love. The subject is of a mother bird, peering in proudly at her nest of three eggs. Perhaps, she is just taking a quiet moment before there are mouths to feed and lessons to teach... Ah, the cycle of life, so precious, exciting and sometimes downright scary, but worth every moment! I have used multiple layers of overlapping coloured glazes, to achieve the golden canopy of leaves that sprout from the gnarly branches of this big old tree. There are some lovely shadowy areas, snippets of light peeping through and on background of blue sky.

MEDIUM

Acrylic on Stretched Canvas, sides painted, sealed and ready to hang.

SIZE

76cm (W) x 51.5cm (H) x 3.5cm (D)
